Nursery Life

South Lee Nursery welcomes children from 3 months up to school age and is organised into five dedicated rooms, grouped by age and stage of development: 

Fledglings 

From 3 months to 18 months 

Cygnets

From 18 months to 2 years 

Swans 

From 2 years to 3 years

 Pre-School

All children begin in this class in the September before they are due to start school.

Each room has a dedicated Room Leader, and every child is assigned a Key Worker who will be your main point of contact either in person or through Tapestry. Our team supports each stage of your child’s development, helping them to grow in confidence, curiosity and independence. 

While your child’s Key Worker takes lead responsibility for their care and development, all of our staff build warm relationships with every child; ensuring they always feel safe, happy, and well supported whatever room they are in, and whichever staff are present.
