A Typical Day

07:30 | Breakfast Club 

Our Breakfast Club opens at 7:30am (term time only) for those who have booked this additional service. 

08:00 | Arrival 

Nursery opens and children begin arriving for the day. 

08:00 – 10:00 | Morning Activities 

Children enjoy a variety of activities, both indoors and outdoors, with continuous free-flow access. Small groups take part in circle time, adult-led sessions, music, phonics, number games, and more. 

10:00 | Snack Time 

Morning snack is served, which typically includes fresh fruit, rice cakes, homemade cheese straws or similar. Children are offered milk or water and are encouraged to drink regularly throughout the day. 

10:30 | Continued Activities

Play and learning continue both indoors and outdoors whatever the weather. Children explore nature in our outdoor areas, get messy with sensory play, or join in small group games. 

12:00 | Lunch

Children and staff sit together for a sociable ‘family-style’ lunch. Menus change regularly and are designed by our Head Chef to be nutritious and appealing, with all dietary needs catered for. 

12:30 | Rest or Afternoon Activities

After lunch, some children rest in our cosy sleep room; we follow your child’s routine and preferences for naps. Whilst children who don't nap, enjoy more engaging activities, including creative arts, construction, and sensory exploration. 

14:00 | Afternoon Snack and Activities

A second snack is offered perhaps homemade muffins, hummus with vegetables, or crumpets. Children may go for a walk, take part in garden-based play, or engage in small group experiences such as cookery or storytelling. 

16:00 | Collection

Most children are collected at this time. 

16:15 | Supper

A light supper is served, offering another opportunity for a social mealtime. 

16:45 | Wind Down 

Children wind down with quiet activities as they prepare for home time. 

17:30 | Late Collection 

Late collection is available for those who have booked this additional service. Nursery closes for the day at 6:00pm
