Our Uniform
We encourage our pupils to be proud of their uniform and to be smart at all times as they are representing themselves and the school. Please ensure that all items of uniform and equipment are clearly named.

Alternatively, we have a school second hand uniform shop run by one of the South Lee parents. Please inform the school office if you would like to arrange a visit to the second-hand shop.
If there is a problem with any item of uniform, the pupil’s form teacher will contact the parent to resolve any issues. All decisions on what is deemed to be suitable rest with the Head.
Hairstyles
We try to discourage “fashions” concerning, in particular: hairbands, hairstyles etc. Hair must be of a suitable length and style, and of its natural colour. Long hair must be tied back and should be off the face. For boys, hair must be worn off the collar and off the face. No hair gel should be worn by any pupil.
Make up
No make up or nail varnish is to be worn by students.
Jewellery
We do not allow any student to wear jewellery at school, with the exception of a watch (clearly named) which must be taken off for PE/Games, and small stud earrings which must be taped over for PE/Games.
Shoes
No boots, high-heeled shoes, sandals or ballet pumps are allowed. Shoes must be able to be polished.
Bags
Children must use the official South Lee bags, i.e. backpacks, sports bags.
Pre-Prep School Uniform
Preschool – Year 2 (Preschool optional, not compulsory)
Winter Uniform:
- Tartan pinafore or grey flannel long trousers (not cargo or skinny fit)
- White long-sleeved shirt
- Navy V-neck jumper with maroon stripe
